CONTRAFABRIC - WALLCOVERING FOR MUSEUM DE LAKENHAL
The restored and expanded Museum De Lakenhal in Leiden reopened in June 2019. Here the artworks by ten (inter)national designers and artists commissioned by the museum back in 2016 are on show, including that of textile designer Aleksandra Gaca. Inspired by the form language of De Stijl, Gaca produced ContraFabric, a refined and eye-catching textile wall covering for the auditorium.
This project is in collaborations with: Museum De Lakenhal, HappelCornelisseVerhoeven Architecten, TextielLab of TextielMuseum and Oostendorp-stoffering.
