LIENESCH TEXTILES FOR FINDOW BLINDS

For Lienesch a Dutch producer of window decorations, Aleksandra Gaca designed a series of textiles for window blinds.  Applying three-dimensionality into pleated forms proved to be quite a challenge to Aleksandra, because the pleats are a spatial form in itself.

Creating three-dimensionality in the new Lienesch collection involved designing woven qualities and the possibilities within screen-printing technology. By playing with forms, structures, colour gradients, shadow effects and contrasts between matte and glossy fabrics, Aleksandra have succeeded in this challenge.
